Getting started
There are two different types of objects which are needed to create an AutoModeller scene:
The source object is the equivalent of a 2D bitmap texture, it is a group of multiple 3ds max objects that are arranged in a certain fashion(i.e., a brickwall) and which can be applied to any target object, either using the painter or the pick-button. The target object is a mesh that can be textured using one ore multiple source-objects. The preferred way of texturing a target object with multiple sources is by using the AutoModeller Painter. The properties of both target- and source- objects are accessible by clicking on the property-symbol which will open the property browser.
To get started using AutoModeller Pro you should open one of the example scenes to see what is possible using this powerful plugin but if you instead prefer to start with the very basics this tutorial will show you how to start from scratch.
To browse through the different help topics you can also click the menu button on the upper left corner of this window. Also remember that all the different help topics are accessible by clicking the little (?) buttons which are integrated througout the entire interface. ->Brickwall tutorial
